Women's Day Out

March 08th, It is that day of the year, when we celebrate Women's day,

I wouldn't say it is a special or auspicious day, but yes we make it a special day,

all days are good to be a woman, but just to club all those days and create an occasion is what matters over here,

I am not going to talk about Equal power, women rights etc, which I feel most of us are enjoying,

am sure today's women are much better off than those earlier, there are many opportunities open to woman that were not in the traditional times, only those woman who broke those barriers felt proud who came out of these barriers, kudos to them

Challenges are there everywhere, but we are geared up to overcome them,

I am proud to say that

I stand and work shoulder to shoulder with Men (Men, pls.excuse me, because this wasn't the case for some women who had worked earlier in my family)

I feel am more confident to speak my mind (this wasn't the case earlier with my folks)

Yes am lucky enough, am not here to compare this with my colleagues or friends,

but am writing this to say how lucky am I compared to some women who were meant only for the Household chores, who couldn't speak their mind, nor could stand shoulder to shoulder with men

But on this day, I would like to say Thanks to my Mother and Grand Mother, Ofcourse thanks to My Father.

Actually I am not here to compete with any one, it is just that I took this opportunity to say that "Yes I feel good to be a Woman"

Though we don't have some thing called Men's Day, but atleast I would like say Thank You, to Men folk who have been supportive to me.

I am happy to be a Woman in this birth, might be I would feel good to be a Man as well if there is Reincarnation, then we may Celebrate, "Men's Day" ;) too
